Video production for maritime businesses

Maritime video production, on deck and from the air

Vessels, sea trials and subsea equipment filmed where they work. We plan around weather, tides and port access, and use 3D animation for what happens below the surface.

Overview

Films made by people who know their way around a vessel

Planned around the sea

Weather, tides, port security and vessel schedules built into the plan.

Safe on board

A small crew that works to your safety rules on deck, in the yard and on the quayside.

Why 50DEGREES

Led by an engineer. Built by specialists.

A marketing and media studio for defence, maritime, engineering and technology businesses. One lead, a team of specialists, and a brief you only give once.

Technical industries only

We work only with defence, maritime, engineering and technology businesses, so your team doesn’t have to explain the basics.

How a project runs

One lead, the right specialists

You brief one person once. Each part goes to a specialist who does that work every day, and you keep one point of contact from start to finish.

Meet the team

Discretion as standard

Every specialist works to the same confidentiality terms on every job. We handle material, sites and information with the same care you do.

What we hold ourselves to
Founded by an engineer

50DEGREES was founded by Jack Abbiss after eight years as a Royal Navy Marine Engineer Officer, so specifications, trials and procurement routes are familiar ground, not something to learn on your budget.

ROV footage from the job can be edited into the film, and 3D animation can show what the camera can’t.

We agree a weather window and a fallback date with you in advance, and plan the shots that can be done in harbour or alongside in case conditions rule out going to sea.
