Superyacht Charter Film for Kismet
Cecil Wright needed a film to market Kismet, a 122m Lürssen superyacht, to charter clients. We filmed her at sea, from the air and on board, and cut a two-minute film that shows the yacht the way a guest would see it.
Showing a 122m Yacht to Charter Clients
Charter clients at this level have seen every yacht brochure going. The film had to show Kismet's scale, finish and setting in a way photos can't.
Scale
A 122m yacht is hard to take in from one angle. The film needed to show her size at sea and still feel personal on board.
Interiors
Kismet's saloons, cabins and pool deck are a big part of her appeal. They had to be filmed so the detail and materials came through.
Working around the yacht
Filming on and around a working superyacht meant fitting in with the crew, the weather and the yacht's own schedule.

Filmed at Sea, From the Air and On Board
We planned the shoot around the light and the yacht's movements, then built the edit to move from the open sea into the yacht and back out again.
Aerial and tracking shots
Drone passes at sunset, at night and under way show Kismet's length, decks and helipad against the coastline.
Interior sequences
Slow, steady shots through the main saloon, dining areas, cabins and lounges, lit to bring out the finishes.
Paced for charter
The edit opens at sea, shows the Lürssen name early and finishes with the yacht under way, so a client knows within seconds what they're looking at.

A Film Built for Charter Marketing
Cecil Wright has a film that shows Kismet properly, ready for its website, broker presentations and social channels.
Charter-ready film
Exterior, aerial and interior footage in one piece, short enough to send to a client and watch through.
Day and night footage
Sunset, dusk and night shots give the broker material for different moods and cut-downs.
Views on YouTube
Cecil Wright's upload of the film has been watched more than 168,000 times, and the footage can be recut for listings and future charter seasons.
Useful lessons for businesses
Work with the light
Sunset and night shots make the most of a yacht's lighting and lines.
Lead with what sells
For charter, interiors and lifestyle matter as much as the hull.
Shoot once, cut many
One shoot can supply a main film, short edits and stills for a whole season.
