Company Overview Film for a Satellite Manufacturer

Tyvak, part of Terran Orbital, needed one film that explained its history, its small satellite work and the PredaSAR radar constellation. We produced a six-minute overview in 3D animation and motion graphics, built around a voiceover.

The brief

Explaining Space Hardware to Several Audiences

Investors, defence customers and commercial buyers all needed the same story: where Tyvak came from, what it builds and what PredaSAR will do.

01

A lot to cover

The film had to take in the CubeSat origins, the Terran Orbital family of companies, PredaSAR and a new manufacturing campus.

02

Abstract technology

Synthetic aperture radar is hard to picture. Viewers needed to see how it works and why it matters.

03

Several audiences

The same film had to make sense to investors, military users and commercial customers.

Our solution

Chapters in 3D, Held Together by a Voiceover

We structured the script in chapters and built each one in 3D, so the story moves from history to technology to the future.

1

History in motion graphics

An animated timeline covers the move from university CubeSats to Tyvak's larger satellites and the Terran Orbital family.

2

SAR explained in 3D

Satellites in low Earth orbit, radar passing through cloud and smoke, and scenarios including wildfires, an oil spill, a hurricane and a military threat.

3

The future

The film closes on the new manufacturing campus and the scale of the PredaSAR constellation.

The results

One Film for Every Audience

Tyvak has a single overview it can use with investors, customers and recruits, with chapters that can be cut down for specific uses.

6 min

Full company story

History, capability and plans in one film.

SAR without jargon

The radar technology is shown visually, so non-specialists can follow it.

Chapters that cut down

Each section can be edited into a shorter film for events or social.

Useful lessons for businesses

Structure in chapters

A long film is easier to follow, and to cut down, when it's built in clear sections.

Picture the use case

Showing real scenarios makes abstract technology easy to grasp.

One story, many audiences

A clear script lets the same film work for investors and customers.
