Product Film for a Military Folding Stretcher
CQC needed a product demo for its Fibrelight folding stretcher, which weighs under 5kg and is supplied to the British Army. We filmed it in use during a woodland casualty extraction, with soldiers carrying, deploying and loading the stretcher.
CQCShowing a Stretcher Where It Will Be Used
A stretcher's selling points are its weight, how fast it deploys and how easily it carries. None of that comes across on a white background.
Realism
Military buyers spot anything staged. The scenario had to look and feel like a real casualty extraction.
Speed
The stretcher deploys in seconds, and that had to be visible on screen.
Short format
Thirty seconds for the website, social channels and trade shows.

A Casualty Extraction, Filmed Up Close
We set up a woodland scenario and filmed it at ground level to put the viewer in the middle of the action.
Woodland scenario
Soldiers in full kit move through the trees, reach a casualty and get them onto the stretcher.
Product close-ups
Tight shots of the stretcher being unfolded, the casualty secured and the team lifting and carrying.
Fast edit
A short, punchy cut that ends on the CQC logo, made to be watched in full.

The Product Shown Doing Its Job
CQC has a demo that shows the Fibrelight stretcher being used the way its customers will use it.
Product shown in use
Deployment, loading and carrying are all shown in one short sequence.
Ready for every channel
At 30 seconds it works on the product page, on social and on a stand screen.
On CQC's own channel
CQC publishes the film on its YouTube channel alongside its other Fibrelight product videos.
Useful lessons for businesses
Film it in context
Products for the field sell better when shown in the field.
Get low and close
Ground-level shots put the viewer in the scenario.
Keep it short
A tight demo gets watched to the end.
